Special Events
The Distinguished Alumni Assembly will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009, in the McCaskey auditorium at 8:30 am. Five alumni, chosen by a special alumni committee, will be honored for their contributions to society after graduating from McCaskey. The recipients for 2009 are:
James Spoo ’65 - U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service
Nancy Hite Giles ’73 - Owner/Director of the nationally ranked Southern Strutt Dance Studio in Columbia, SC
Barbara A. Barr ’79 - WGAL-TV news and sports reporter and anchor
Norman Bristol Colon ’93 - Executive Director, Governor’s Advisory Committee on Latino Affairs
Lorraine “Lori” Dean ’99 - Doctoral Candidate / Harvard University
The sixth annual banquet/fundraiser for 2009 will be held that same evening in the McCaskey East cafeteria. This banquet is a wonderful evening of good food, fellowship, talks from the Distinguished Alumni and a McCaskey student performance. New York City Bus Trip / “In the Heights“
Saturday, April 25, 2009: The Alumni Association is sponsoring a bus trip to New York to see the Broadway show, “In the Heights” featuring McCaskey graduate, Eliseo Roman ’78.

McCaskey’s “AFS Day” will offer entertainment and food from around the world. The Alumni Association is sponsoring a flea market/yard sale. Spaces are available to rent as follows:
